Week of October 4, 2010

Reminders:

As stated on last week's blog, these are a few reminders concerning homework and classwork. Your child will lose points if they do not follow the directions stated below:

A. All work must be completed in blue or black ink (other colors will not

be accepted) and pencil will also not be accepted unless it is

specified.

B. If the assignment states that looseleaf is to be used, no other types of

paper will be accepted (paper ripped out of notebooks or legal

pads are unacceptable).

C. Homework must be handed in on the day due, unless I receive a note

from a parent explaining why it is not complete.

This will only be accepted if there is an emergency at home (not

because you were too tired or that you had too much other HW).

D. Homework and classwork must be neat. Work that is sloppy, crossed out or

illegible will not be accepted.

E. Book Tests will be given next week on your child’s assigned book. Please check

the date below for the correct date. Your child will be allowed to use their

notes during the test, but not the book. The book must be returned on the

day of the test. A new book will not be given to your child until the

previous one is returned. If the book gets lost or damaged, your

child must pay for it.

F.The children should wear their school uniforms tomorrow since there will be

no gym or computer classes this week.

G.Test papers will be sent home on Wednesday of this week. Please sign each

paper and return them and folder by Friday.

H. Progress Reports will be distributed on Thursday. If you do not receive one,

please contact the school office.

I. ITBS testing begins next week. Please make sure that your child has at least

three #2 sharpened pencils with clean erasers each day until testing is over.

Remember that homework and classwork count as a grade!
