Week of June 9, 2014

Reminders:
1. These are a few reminders concerning homework and classwork:
              
A. All work must be completed in blue or black ink (other colors will not be accepted).  

B. If the assignment states that looseleaf is to be used, no other types of paper will be accepted (paper ripped out of notebooks or legal pads is unacceptable).
   
C. Homework must be handed in on the day due, unless I receive a not from a parent explaining why you did not complete your HW. This will only be accepted if there is an emergency at home (not because you were too tired or that you had too much other HW). 

D. Homework and classwork must be neat. Work that is sloppy or illegible will not be accepted.

E. Friday, June 13, 12:00 Dismissal- Faculty Meeting.

F.Students are reminded to donate $1 on Friday for the Haiti Orphanage and they can wear shorts to school (or whatever they would like, as long as it is appropriate).

Remember that homework and classwork count as a grade!

Grade 5 is reading Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech for Unit 6.

Monday- Read Chapters 38-44 in Walk Two Moons.

Review Study Sheet- make sure to study the vocabulary and the essay questions. Make sure you know a little about the main characters in each of the six books we read. Final Exam- Weds,6/18.

You may also answer any of the essay questions on the Review Sheets for extra credit.

Unit 6 Project on an American Indian tribe, a famous Native American Indian, or a famous American Pioneer is due on June 9.
You will be presenting this as a lesson, just as the last project. You can do a Powerpoint or Prezi.

You will be presenting this as a lesson that you are teaching the class, so a PowerPoint or Prezi is required.
