Reminders:

1. Please check Mr. Woods’ blog for information and announcements.

2. The fifth graders need to wear gym uniforms every Wednesday and Friday from now on.

3. Please check the blog and Google Classroom for updated homework assignments or announcements.

4. Summer School letters were sent home on Tuesday, 5/9. They must be signed and returned by Friday, 5/12. 

Remember that homework and classwork count as a grade!

Module 4: the fifth graders are reading Eight Days: A Story of Haiti by Edwidge Danticat. Please make sure that you have completed reading your book.

Achieve 3000 and i-Ready: Please continue to work on both programs. If you have an action plan, your work will be checked every Monday (16 lessons are due Monday,5/8).

There is a Common Lit assignment due Tuesday, 5/9 (The Frog and the Mouse). Please log on and complete the assignment carefully.

Monday: Define and review the vocabulary words listed below- Due Wednesday, May 10.

Vocabulary for the Week:

Tuesday: Read pages 234-239. Answer the following questions on looseleaf. Due on Thursday, May 11.

1. Why did immigrants come to the Middle Colonies?
2. What was the Great Awakening?
3. How did the Middle Colonies differ from the New England Colonies?
4. What were some of the ways that Benjamin Franklin improved Philadelphia?

The new map is due on June 7.
