Reminders:
1. These are a few reminders concerning homework and
classwork:
A. All work must be completed in
blue or black ink (other colors will not be accepted).
B. If the assignment states
that looseleaf is to be used, no other types of
paper will
be accepted (paper ripped out of notebooks or legal pads is unacceptable.
C. Homework must be handed
in on the day due, unless I receive a note
from a parent explaining why you did
not complete your HW.
This will only be accepted if there
is an emergency at home or you were sick.
D.
Homework and classwork must be neat. Work that is sloppy or illegible will not
be accepted.
2. Tuesday
is Gym for the 5th Grade. Remember to wear Gym uniform.
3. On
Tuesday, December 18th, grades 5 thru 8 will going to see the movie “Lincoln”
at the AMC Movie theaters on 42nd Street. The cost of the movie is $7.00 which
is due on Monday, 12/17. Your child will be given a permission slip on Monday to
be signed. If it is not returned signed, your child will not be able to go. Children
must wear their gym shirt. After the
movie, we will be having lunch at Dallas BBQ. The children may bring money to
buy lunch at the restaurant. We will not be collecting that money. The minimum amount they should bring is $13 (unlimited soda, chicken, and a dessert), but they can definitely bring more. Nobody will be allowed to buy snacks at the movie theater because it is too crowded.
4. Every
child needs to bring a large plastic shopping bag (or 2) to school by Weds.
12/19 to pack up the books that they will not
be bringing home over the Christmas Recess. This is so the desks may be
cleaned. Please let your child know what books you would like them to take home
to review before we pack them up.
5. Lessons and Carols will take place on Friday, 12/21 in the church.
The children can wear dress clothes to school that day (no jeans or sneakers).

On Friday, 12/21 will be having a Christmas party in the afternoon. The
children want to order pizza, so I will be collecting $2.00 for the pizza on
Tuesday and Wednesday. The children should bring something for themselves to
drink. We will also be deciding tomorrow what each child wants to bring in to
share with the class. Please ask your child about this tomorrow or let them
know what you would like to send in for the party.
Remember that homework and classwork count as a grade!
