Week of May 6, 2013



Reminders:


 1. These are a few reminders concerning homework and classwork:

       A. All work must be completed in blue or black ink (other colors will not be accepted).  

       B. If the assignment states that looseleaf is to be used, no other types of
paper will be accepted (paper ripped out of notebooks or legal pads is unacceptable.
   
      C. Homework must be handed in on the day due, unless I receive a note
           from a parent explaining why you did not complete your HW.
           This will only be accepted if there is an emergency at home or you were sick.

      D. Homework and classwork must be neat. Work that is sloppy or illegible will not be accepted. 

2. Please be in full uniform on Thursday for Mass (except for children in Green House).

3. The schedule for Unit 4 Exams is as follows:
Mon, 5/13:  Math and Religion
Tues, 5/14: Science and Reading
Weds, 5/5: Social Studies and ELA

           Remember that homework and classwork count as a grade!

5th Grade Reading- 5/6/13



Homework:

The book being read for Unit 5 is The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupery.
Read the first 7 chapters VII, (THAT MEANS READ IT…..DON’T SKIM IT!!!!!!!)
Questions will be added later in the week.

Study all Vocabulary for Unit 4 and may sure that you finished reading the book about slavery. Last week’s vocabulary will be used for Unit 5. There will be no new vocabulary words this week.

6th Grade Reading- 5/6/13


Homework:

The book being read for Unit 5 is Westing Game by Ellen Raskin.
Read Chapters 1-6. (THAT MEANS READ IT…..DON’T SKIM IT!!!!!!!)
Questions will be added later in the week.

Study all Vocabulary for Unit 4 and may sure that you finished reading the book Lyddie. Last week’s vocabulary will be used for Unit 5. There will be no new vocabulary words this week.

7th Grade Reading 5/6/13


Homework:

The book being read for Unit 5 is A Wrinkle of Time by Madeleine L’Engle
Read Chapters 1-3. (THAT MEANS READ IT…..DON’T SKIM IT!!!!!!!)

Study all Vocabulary for Unit 4 and may sure that you finished reading the book Call of the Wild. Last week’s vocabulary will be used for Unit 5. There will be no new vocabulary words this week.

Chapter 10 Read pgs. 351-356. On page 357 (Chapter 10 Review), complete the Vocabulary Review 1-10 (write everything out).  Also answer Chapter Checkup Questions 3& 4. You can restate the questions. Due Friday, May 10 on looseleaf.
