Week of May 20, 2013



Reminders:


 1. These are a few reminders concerning homework and classwork:

       A. All work must be completed in blue or black ink (other colors will not be accepted).  

       B. If the assignment states that looseleaf is to be used, no other types of
paper will be accepted (paper ripped out of notebooks or legal pads is unacceptable.
   
      C. Homework must be handed in on the day due, unless I receive a note
           from a parent explaining why you did not complete your HW.
           This will only be accepted if there is an emergency at home or you were sick.

      D. Homework and classwork must be neat. Work that is sloppy or illegible will not be accepted. 

2. Friday, 5/24 is a 12:00 Dismissal.

3. No school on Monday- Memorial Day

4. All students need to bring Rosary Beads to school for the May Procession next Friday, May 31.

           Remember that homework and classwork count as a grade!

Homework:

The book being read for Unit 5 is The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupery.
Read Chapters VIII-XVIII (up to p. 51).

Write the vocabulary and definitions in your vocabulary notebook.
Due Thursday, May 23, 2013.


Reading Questions are due on looseleaf, Friday, 5/24

1. List facts about the Little Prince from Chapters 1-4. Find information that tells the us about who he is, what he looks like, and anything else you can find out. Your list should include at least 10 items.

2. Create a T chart  and compare/contrast the author's feelings about grownups and children (see pgs. 15-17).
