Weekly Reminders:
GRADE 4-HOMEROOM

A. Gym uniforms must be worn by 4th graders on Tuesdays and Fridays for gym unless students are told differently. The children may wear gym uniforms this week also (for the pictures) instead of regular uniforms since they have gym.

B. All children will need to have a pair of rosary beads for the May Procession on May 31.

C. MAP testing this week. Check Mr. Woods’ blog for details.

D. Next Monday, 5/21 there will be a 12:00 dismissal due to a Faculty Meeting. The Afterschool Program will still be session.

E. See Mr. Woods’ blog for information concerning the new afterschool program for the 2018-2019 school year.

GRADES 6, 7, 8  
A. All classwork/homework must be completed in blue or black ink (other colors will not be accepted).  

B. If an assignment states that looseleaf is to be used, no other types of paper will be accepted (paper ripped out of notebooks or legal pads is unacceptable).
   
C. Homework must be handed in on the day due unless I receive a note from a parent explaining why you did not complete your HW. This will only be accepted if there is an emergency at home (not because you were too tired or that you had too much other HW). 

D. Homework and classwork must be neat. Work that is sloppy or illegible will not be accepted.

MAP Skills, Common Lit, Khan Academy, Front Row or No Read Ink: Assignments will be given during the week. Make sure you check the blog every day for assignments.

My Perspectives (Pearson)- Please review (in your textbook or online in Pearson Realize) the story, vocabulary, and concepts (word study and conventions) that we have worked on in class.

Front Row will be due on Friday of this week.
No Red Ink will also be due by Friday.

Social Studies Homework for Grade 8

Unit 8 Boom Times and Challenges- 1929-1939– Chapter 25: The Great Depression

Test tomorrow, 5/14- Chapters 23 and 24. Study notes and know background on Henry Ford.

Monday,5/14- Write definitions for the words below in your Social Studies NB, Due Friday, 5/18. Read pages 778- 789 in your textbook.

Tuesday, 5/15- Start doing research for your project. I will post an outline in Google Classroom by the end of the week.

Thursday, 5/17- Copy the notes for Chapter 25 into your Social Studies notebook. It will be collected on Tuesday, 5/22. No extensions!!!!
