Week of May 21, 2018


Weekly Reminders:
GRADE 4-HOMEROOM

A. Gym uniforms must be worn by 4th graders on Tuesdays and Fridays for gym unless students are told differently. 

B. All children will need to have a pair of rosary beads for the May Procession on May 31.

C. MAP testing on Tuesday in Reading.

D. Tomorrow, 5/21 there will be a 12:00 dismissal due to a Faculty Meeting. The Afterschool Program will still be session.

E. Bronx Zoo Trip, Thursday,5/24 - Sign the permission slip and send in the money by tomorrow (Monday).

F. No school Friday, 5/25 and Monday, 5/28 in honor of Memorial Day.

GRADES 6, 7, 8  
A. All classwork/homework must be completed in blue or black ink (other colors will not be accepted).  

B. If an assignment states that looseleaf is to be used, no other types of paper will be accepted (paper ripped out of notebooks or legal pads is unacceptable).
   
C. Homework must be handed in on the day due unless I receive a note from a parent explaining why you did not complete your HW. This will only be accepted if there is an emergency at home (not because you were too tired or that you had too much other HW). 

D. Homework and classwork must be neat. Work that is sloppy or illegible will not be accepted.

E. MAP Testing on Tuesday, Reading!

Unit 8 Boom Times and Challenges- 1929-1939– Chapter 25: The Great Depression

Monday,5/21- Write definitions for the words below in your Social Studies NB, Due Wednesday, 5/23. Read pages 790- 799 in your textbook.

Tuesday,5/22- Copy the notes for Chapter 25 into your Social Studies notebook. It will be collected on Thursday, 5/24. No extensions

Thursday, 5/24- Continue doing research for your project. There is an outline posted in Google Classroom. The project is due Tuesday, May 29.
