Weekly Reminders:
GRADE 4-HOMEROOM

A. Gym uniforms must be worn by 4th graders on Wednesdays for gym unless students are told differently.

B. MAP Testing on Thursday in Math.

C. Progress Reports will be sent home on Friday. Please sign and return them on Monday. I will return them once I check the signatures.

D. Monday, January 14- There will be a 12:00PM dismissal due to a Faculty Meeting. The ASP will still be in session.

Tuesday,1/8: Read pages 147-153 in your textbook. Answer the questions below on loose-leaf (with a full heading) Due Friday, 1/11.

This week we will be reading from Bad Boy and I was a Skinny Tomboy Kid. We will be reviewing adjectives, figurative language, and annotating text.

The final paper for your interview was due today. Remember this assignment will be given 3 grades: interview questions and responses, the draft, and the final copy.

My Perspectives (Pearson)- Please review (in your textbook or online at Pearson Realize) the story, vocabulary, and concepts (word study and conventions) that we are working on in class.

This week in grammar we will be working on reflexive and intensive pronouns. We will also be discussing “How-to Articles.

Wednesday,1/9: Voyages Practice Book. Complete page 25 (odd numbers) in your ELA notebook.  Due Friday,1/11.

REVIEW FOR MIDTERM EXAM:
Reading: Know the vocabulary and skills that we learned in Unit 1. Study the vocabulary in your notebook and skills that were done in the notebook such as antonyms, central idea, root word -spec-, figurative language, the suffix- ness, theme, author’s style, author’s purpose, author’s point of view (1st and 3rd person)

Language Arts:
