WEEKLY REMINDERS:

GRADE 7-HOMEROOM

A. Please sign into Google Classroom and press on the link for Zoom. You will stay connected from 8:00-3:00. Whatever teacher you have will let you know if you have a bathroom break or lunch break. Please read Mr. Woods’ blog for rules about remote learning (home). Attendance will be taken during each class. This link will be good for the rest of the school year (2020-2021).

B. Remember to wear a mask and bring your supplies each day.

C. If your child must leave school early or come in late due to an appointment, please have them attend classes remotely. 

D. Make sure to read Mr. Woods blog for other important information.

 

E. There will be a 2:00 Dismissal on Friday,12/18.

Reminders for those 7th-grade students that attend classes in school:


1. Wednesday, 12/16 Lessons and Carols. This will be filmed in the classroom and posted on the school website for all to see. Please wear dress clothes in the colors that Mr. Alma asked of you. You must be dressed up; this is not a dress down day!


2. For Thursday, 12/17- Bring a large plastic shopping for any books that you will leave in school during the vacation. Students may dress down today, but dress warm.

 

3. I would also ask if you could bring another box of tissues and disinfectant wipes since there are only five of you and most of them are gone already. You can bring these supplies in after the vacation.

  

4. For Friday, 12/18- Bring in something to drink for the party. Ms. Alma said she will be giving you a pizza party, so you can bring in anything else you want too.


5. You may bring in your electronics to play with and dress down for the party on Friday. Please bring your bookbag for anything you will be taking home. I will ask each of you to take home your seat sack and wash it.

 

6. Remember there will be a 2:00 dismissal on Friday.

My Perspectives (savvasrealize.com)- Please review the story, vocabulary, and concepts (word study and conventions) that we are working on in class.

 

I will be assigning homework in class for ELA since we will be using a variety of materials such as My Perspectives, Voyages, Common Lit, No Red Ink, and The Lightning Thief. We will be working on nonfiction narratives, reading comprehension, and grammar this week.


Please make sure that you have The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan (2005) book each day for class.


**** Homework this week will be Common Lit. See Google Classroom for details. Due Wednesday, 12/16.


****Remember to work on Edgenuity for ELA over the Christmas vacation. It is a good review for MAP testing in January.


**** You should read a book of your choice each day for at least 30 minutes. This will help you to learn more vocabulary and become more fluent.
