Week of February 27, 2012

Reminders:

A. All work must be completed in blue or black ink (other colors will not be accepted) and pencil is not allowed.

B. If the assignment states that looseleaf is to be used, no other types of paper will be accepted (paper ripped out of notebooks or legal pads is unacceptable).

C. Starting this week, the students will be given 20 vocabulary words per week. They will have to copy the words and definitions on Monday for Homework and it will be checked on Tuesday by the Homeroom Teacher. If your child does not have internet access at home, he/she will be able to stay in the Afterschool Program on Mondays from 3:00-3:30 in order to copy the words into the Vocabulary NBs.

D. 5th grade will have Gym on Friday, instead of Monday until further notice.

E. Weds. 2/29- Hippie Day- Google how hippie’s dressed from the 1960’s and 1970’s. Best costume will win a prize.

F. Friday, 3/2 12:00 Dismissal due to a Faculty Meeting!

G. Reminder: if your child brings snack or lunch- no meat should be given on Fridays during Lent.

Remember that homework and classwork count as a grade!

E. Tuesday, 2/14 (Valentine’s Day) Dress in Red. No jeans or sneakers because we will be attending Mass. There will be a Cake Sale following Mass, sponsored by the 8th grade.

F. Thursday, 2/16 is Group Picture Day. All students need to be in full school uniform (no boots). The 5th grade will have gym, so bring your gym uniform in a bag. Greenhouse and Science Club students also must be dressed in full school uniform and can bring their gym uniforms in a bag.

G. Friday, 2/17- There will be a Title 1 Parent Workshop (Ms. Mason and Ms. Dukeman). If your child attends Title 1 Reading or Math, you should try your best to attend!
