Week of March 31, 2014

Reminders:
1. These are a few reminders concerning homework and classwork:
              
A. All work must be completed in blue or black ink (other colors will not be accepted).  

B. If the assignment states that looseleaf is to be used, no other types of paper will be accepted (paper ripped out of notebooks or legal pads is unacceptable).
   
C. Homework must be handed in on the day due, unless I receive a not from a parent explaining why you did not complete your HW. This will only be accepted if there is an emergency at home (not because you were too tired or that you had too much other HW). 

D. Homework and classwork must be neat. Work that is sloppy or illegible will not be accepted.

E. The New York State ELA Test will be taken on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday by the students in Grades 3-8. Please make sure that you have enough #2 pencils that are sharpened (at home) and have a good eraser. This should be done on Monday to ensure that you have them. Make sure to get a good night’s sleep and eat breakfast so you will have energy to focus during the test.

F. April Calendar will be distributed today.

Wednesday- Copy the diagram of the separation of powers on page 232 in your textbook. It should be written and then colored (each branch a different color). Then answer questions 1-8. This should be done on looseleaf and is due on Thursday. Points will be deducted off for sloppy work!
