 WEEKLY REMINDERS:

GRADE 2 -HOMEROOM

A. Remember to wear a mask and bring your school supplies each day.

B. Remember Gym class is every Friday, so wear your gym uniform.

C. Make sure to read Mr. Woods’ blog for other important information.

D. Title 1 Catapult Schedule:

Grades 1, 3, 6, 7 & 8 Mondays and Wednesdays 3:15-5:00

Grades K, 2, 4, and 5 Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:15-5:00

 

E. Progress Reports will be sent home after we return from Christmas break.

 

F. Parents please send in a large shopping bag (vinyl or canvas) for the children to pack the books they will be leaving at school for the Christmas break. The desks are being cleaned and all books must be removed and placed in the closets. Bags should be brought in by Tuesday, 12/14 (tomorrow). Also please let me know what books you would like your child to bring home to review over the break so that we do not pack them up. Seat sacks will be sent home to be washed. Please return them after the break because I do not have extras.

 

G. Thursday, 12/16, there will be an Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest. The winner must have the ugliest Christmas sweater.

 

H. Friday, 12/17, Lesson and Carols in the church @ 9:00 AM. Parents are welcome to attend. Ms. Alma will be telling the children what they need to wear since they will be performing a short play. Afterward, our class will have a Christmas Party. Each child will have to bring in something to share with the class (donuts, cookies, cupcakes, etc.) and something to drink for themselves (no large bottles of soda and no glass). If your child wants to have pizza, he/she should bring $3 in by Thursday. If he/she does not like pizza, he/she can bring lunch. No lunch will be served in school. The children may bring in electronics or small toys to play with. Dismissal will be at 3:15 PM.

The children will be assigned homework during the week on Google Classroom. Please make sure that your child completes all assignments. Please review the list of basic sight words in your child’s ELA folder. He/She should study at least ten words every week and know how to recognize each word, spell the word, and use it in a sentence.

All assignments must be submitted on the date due, or points will be deducted from the grade.

Also make sure that your child has all necessary supplies each day, including sharpened pencils, looseleaf, notebooks, folders, highlighters, colored pencils, etc.
