Week of January 13, 2020

Weekly Reminders:

GRADE 4-HOMEROOM

A. Gym uniforms must be worn by 4^th graders on Mondays and Tuesdays for gym unless students are told differently.

B. If you did not return your child’s Progress Report signed, please do so by tomorrow.

C. MAP Testing: Tuesday- Math and Thursday-Reading

D. Weds, 1/15 National Hat Day- Contest for the most creative hat at 10:00AM. All parents are invited.

E. Monday, 1/20- No School in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

GRADES 6, 7, 8  

A. All classwork/homework must be completed in blue or black ink (other colors will not be accepted).  NO PENCIL!

B. If an assignment states that looseleaf is to be used, no other types of paper will be accepted (paper ripped out of notebooks or legal pads is unacceptable).

   

C. Homework must be handed in on the day due unless I receive a note from a parent explaining why you did not complete your HW. This will only be accepted if there is an emergency at home (not because you were too tired or that you had too much other HW). There will be points deducted for every day your assignment is late. After the 2^nd day, the assignment will not be accepted.

D. Homework and classwork must be neat. Work that is sloppy or illegible will not be accepted. Crossing out is unacceptable!

E. Remember homework counts as part of the total grade!

**** Success Maker- please complete an hour each week. This includes what you complete in school.

******Edulastic. This will help to review for the NYSELA Exam, which 6^th grade will again complete on the computer.

B. Wednesday, 1/8- All Success Maker Christmas work due. Grades will be given for each hour done.

C. Thursday, 1/9- MAP Testing ELA

D. Progress Reports will be sent home. Please sign and return on Monday, 1/13.

E. Monday, 1/13- 12:00 Dismissal due to a Faculty Meeting. ASP will be in session.

Thank you to all the parents and students for all the cards and Christmas gifts. I truly appreciate it.
