Reminders:
These are a few reminders concerning homework and classwork:
A. All school supplies should have been in today.
B. Please return all Parent Signature papers if you have not done so!
C. All work must be completed in blue or black ink (other colors will not be accepted).
D. If the assignment states that looseleaf is to be used, no other types of paper will be accepted (paper ripped out of notebooks or legal pads is unacceptable).
E. Homework must be handed in on the day due, unless I receive a note from a parent explaining why you did not complete your HW. This will only be accepted if there is an emergency at home (not because you were too tired or that you had too much other HW).
F. Homework and classwork must be neat. Work that is sloppy or illegible will not be accepted.
G. Please cover all textbooks and workbooks. A clear plastic cover is suggested.
H. Gym uniforms must be worn by 5th graders on Wednesdays for gym.
I. Students in the 5th grade will have extended day classes each Tuesday from 3:00-5:00 for Math.
J. Friday, October 2 we will be celebrating the Feast of Francis of Assisi. The 5th and 6th grades will be hosting the Mass. Students may bring in pets that want to have blessed. All cats and dogs must be brought to the church by a parent and then taken home after Mass. All parents are invited to attend.
K. There will be a 12:00 Dismissal on Friday, 10/2
L. Please check the blog daily for updated homework assignments or notifications.
Remember that homework and classwork count as a grade!

Copy all new vocabulary words onto index cards. The Vocabulary Word should be on the front of the card and definition on the back. It should read Module 1 Unit 1 in small print on the bottom of the card.
Read pgs. 39- 57 in Esperanza's Rising.
Reading Vocabulary for the week will be listed in the Reading Vocabulary notebook. Study all vocabulary for quiz tomorrow.
