Reminders:

1. Please check Mr. Woods’ blog for information concerning tuition, Progress Reports, and other announcements.

2. The fifth graders need to wear gym uniforms every Wednesday.

3. Please check the blog and Google Classroom for updated homework assignments or announcements.

4. All students need to wear full uniforms on Friday. No dress down due to a visit from Fr. McWeeney of the Regional Board.

Remember that homework and classwork count as a grade!

READING:
Lesson Plans
For Module 3, the fifth grade is reading Promises to Keep: How Jackie Robinson Changed America by Sharon Robinson.

Please read pages 50-57 by Monday, March 13.

Achieve 3000 and iReady – Remember to complete any Activities, Thought
Question, or Lesson assigned during the week.

Write all new vocabulary on index cards. Words will not be accepted if they are not in a bag!  You will need a new Ziploc bag and index cards for Module 3. Words will be collected each Monday. If they are no new vocabulary words for the week, then nothing needs to be written on index cards.

Finish classwork if not finished during class (check reading folder).


SOCIAL STUDIES:

Monday: Define and review the vocabulary words listed below in your Social Studies notebook. Due Thursday, March 9.

Vocabulary for the Week:

Tuesday: reread pages 170-177 in the Social Studies textbook. Answer questions 1-4 on page 177.  Due Thursday, March 9.

For Module 3, the sixth grade is be reading two books- World Without Fish by Mark Kurlansky and Flush by Carl Hiaasen.
Read Chapters 8 and 9 by Monday, March 13. Please bring the Flush book to school because we will start reading it this week. If you have free time or finished the other book, please start reading this one.
