Week of November 19, 2018

Weekly Reminders:
GRADE 4-HOMEROOM

A. Gym uniforms must be worn by 4th graders on Wednesdays for gym unless students are told differently.

B. We will be collecting canned food during November for the Outreach Program of the St. Patrick’s Nursing Home. Please be as generous as possible. The last day that cans will be collected will be Tuesday, November 20.

C. This Wednesday, the 4th grade will be hosting the Thanksgiving Day Mass at 9:00 AM. All parents are invited to attend.

D. Also on Wednesday, the children can bring their lunch, something to drink for themselves, and a snack to share with their friends. They can also bring games (regular or electronic) since we will be having a small party in the afternoon. The children may wear dress up clothes- no jeans or sneakers. They do not need bookbags , but should bring some type of bag in case they have to carry anybooks home.

E. Make sure to read Mr. Woods blog for other important information.

A. All classwork/homework must be completed in blue or black ink (other colors will not be accepted and no pencil).

ELA/Reading Homework for Grade 6
This week we will continue to read the Declaration of the Rights of the Child created by the United Nations.

My Perspectives (Pearson)- Please review (in your textbook or online at Pearson Realize) the story, vocabulary, and concepts (word study and conventions) that we are working on in class.

Monday 11/19 Voyages Practice Book- pages 18 and 19 (even numbers for both pages). Please complete in your notebook with the date, name of the book and page #, and the AimDue on Monday, 11/26.

There will be a test on nouns next week, so take home your Voyages textbook and practice book and review the Chapter.
