WEEKLY REMINDERS:
GRADE 2 -HOMEROOM
A. Pictures
will be taken this Thursday, October 28. The children can dress up (no jeans)
up for the pictures. If you are interested in having your child’s picture taken
and have not sent back the envelope with the money, please do so before
Thursday.
B. Remember to wear a mask and bring your school supplies each day.
C. Remember Gym class is every Friday, so wear your gym uniform.
D. Your child received his/her Progress Report on Friday. If you did not sign it, please sign and return it tomorrow (Tuesday). If you need to speak to me or any other teacher concerning your child, please send an email with a telephone number where you can be reached next week (10/25-10/28) between the hours of 3:30-4:30. Let me know the day and time it is best to call. I will email you back to confirm the day and time.
E. Title 1 Catapult Schedule:
Grades 1,
3, 6, 7 & 8 Mondays and Wednesdays 3:15-5:00
Grades K,
2, 4, and 5 Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:15-5:00

G. The children in Grade 2 will be having a Halloween Party this Friday, 10/29. The children can wear costumes to school. They should also bring in $3 for pizza by Thursday (anyone who does not want pizza can bring their own lunch). Each child should also bring something to drink for himself/herself and something to share with the class-cookies, donuts, cupcakes, etc.

HOMEWORK: For the Week of October 25,2021
ELA/Reading Homework for Grade 2
Ready Gen (savvasrealize.com)- We
will continue reviewing short vowel sounds this week. We will continue to
review nouns, capitalization, punctuation, and different types of sentences- statements,
questions, and exclamations.
The children will be assigned homework during the week on Google Classroom. Please make sure that your child completes all assignments. There is also a list of basic sight words in the children’s ELA folder. They should study at least ten words every week.
All assignments must be submitted on the date due, or points will be deducted from the grade.
Please cover all soft-covered workbooks so they do not rip. Plastic covers are suggested, but not required.
Also make sure that your child has all necessary supplies each day, including sharpened pencils, looseleaf, notebooks, folders, highlighters, colored pencils, etc.
Science Homework for Grade 2
The students will be writing and studying vocabulary words and
notes this week.
