GRADE 2 -HOMEROOM
A. Canned Food
Drive for the poor ends Wednesday, November 24. Please send in as many cans as
possible. Thank you to the parents that already sent in cans.
B. Remember to wear a mask and bring your school supplies each day.
C. Remember Gym class is every Friday, so wear your gym uniform.
D. Make sure to read Mr. Woods’ blog for other important information.
E. Title 1 Catapult Schedule:
Grades 1,
3, 6, 7 & 8 Mondays and Wednesdays 3:15-5:00
Grades K,
2, 4, and 5 Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:15-5:00
F. Thursday, 11/18:
1. Mickey and Minnie Mouse Day-
dress up. There will be a classroom costume contest.
2. Report Cards will be distributed
at dismissal. Tuition must be up to date.
G. Friday, 11/19:
1. 12:00 Dismissal due to
Parent-Teacher Conferences (1:00-6:00).
2. Please make sure to sign up for
an appointment if you would like to speak to me concerning your child’s grades. I will
be posting a sign-up sheet tomorrow.
3. There will be no After School
Program on Friday!

HOMEWORK: For the Week of November 15,2021
ELA/Reading Homework for Grade 2
Ready Gen (savvasrealize.com)- We will continue reviewing short vowel sounds this week. We will continue to review nouns, capitalization, punctuation, and different types of sentences- statements, questions, and exclamations.
The children will be assigned homework during the week on Google Classroom. Please make sure that your child completes all assignments. Please review the list of basic sight words in your child’s ELA folder. He/She should study at least ten words every week and know how to recognize each word, spell the word, and use it in a sentence.
All assignments must be submitted on the date due, or points will be deducted from the grade.
Also make sure that your child has all necessary supplies each day, including sharpened pencils, looseleaf, notebooks, folders, highlighters, colored pencils, etc.
