WEEKLY REMINDERS:
GRADE 2 -HOMEROOM
A.
Remember to wear a mask and bring your school supplies each day.
B. This week, gym will be on Tuesday, so wear your gym uniform.
C. Make sure to read Mr. Woods’ blog for other important information.
D. Title 1 Catapult Schedule:
Grades 1,
3, 6, 7 & 8 Mondays and Wednesdays 3:15-5:00
Grades K,
2, 4, and 5 Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:15-5:00
E. Progress Reports will be sent
home on Friday, 1/7 at dismissal. Please sign and return on Monday. I will
return them as soon as I check the signature.
F. 12:00 Dismissal on Friday, 12/7
due to a Faculty Meeting. The ASP will still be in session.
G. Starting tomorrow, Monday 1/3
the school doors will be closed at 8:15 AM. Prayers will not begin until 9:00
AM. Anyone arriving at school late (after 8:15) will not be allowed to enter
due to COVID lockdown restrictions. If your child has an appointment or has to
leave before 3:15 PM, he/she must stay home for the day. Please see the school
blog for further information.
H. All students must enter through
the lunchroom in the morning and come to class from there. No one can enter
through the church or main door (where the bell is located).
I. NWEA MAP Testing will begin next
Tuesday. We will be reviewing for Reading and Language this week.

HOMEWORK: For the Week of January 3, 2022
ELA/Reading Homework for Grade 2
Ready Gen (savvasrealize.com)- We
will be reviewing short and long vowel sounds, consonant blends and digraphs
this week. We will continue to review nouns, capitalization, punctuation, and
different types of sentences- statements, questions, and exclamations.
The children will be assigned homework during the week on Google Classroom. Please make sure that your child completes all assignments. Please review the list of basic sight words in your child’s ELA folder. He/She should study at least ten words every week and know how to recognize each word, spell the word, and use it in a sentence.
All assignments must be submitted on the date due, or points will be deducted from the grade.
Also make sure that your child has all necessary supplies each day, including sharpened pencils, looseleaf, notebooks, folders, highlighters, colored pencils, etc.
