Week of January 24,2011

Reminders:

As stated on last week's blog, these are a few reminders concerning homework and classwork. Your child will lose points if they do not follow the directions stated below.

A. All work must be completed in blue or black ink (other colors will not be accepted) and pencil will not be accepted unless it is specified. Sloppy and crossed out work will not be accepted.

B. **Any 7th or 8th grade students that attend Title 1 Math or Reading during Social Studies, must hand in all homework assignments and get notes from another classmate, so they do not fall behind in their notes.

C. The History Fair at OLQM will be held tomorrow- Monday, 1/24. Anyone that is presenting should have their projects ready and a list of sources, including at least one primary source listed.

D. All students in the 5th, 6th, 7th, & 8th grades should review the vocabulary words in their reading notebooks for the Midterm Exams. Words were checked off to study. They should also review skills that we have covered in class from their Word Study Book (5th grade), Practice Books (6th grades) or Skills Practice Books (7th & 8th grades). A midterm review for each class has been posted on the blog.

E. The Reading Exam will be given on Tues, 1/25 for Grades 5-8

F. Envelopes will be handed out if you wish to have your child's picture taken. Please return the envelope with the money enclosed to Mrs. Resto in the Tuition Room so you may be given a receipt.

Remember that homework and classwork count as a grade!
