Weekly Reminders:
GRADE 4-HOMEROOM

A. Gym uniforms must be worn by 4th graders on Wednesdays for gym unless students are told differently.

B. There are new schedules which go into effect today:
4th Grade Schedule:
8:00-8:10 PRAYERS, PLEDGE, ATTENDANCE (HOMEROOM)
8:15-9:45- ELA (Mon, Wed, Fri) and Grammar (Tues and Thurs)
9:45-11:15- Science
11:15-12:45- Math
12:45-1:30- LUNCH
1:30-2:15- Social Studies
2:15-3:00- Religion
3:00-3:15 PRAYERS AND DISMISSAL (HOMEROOM)

GYM -Weds. 9:00-9:45
Coding- Weds. 10:30-11:15
Music- Weds. 11:15-12:00

C. Remember all students are to come to the church in the morning for Prayers. Anyone that does not arrive before the Pledge of Allegiance will be marked late or absent.

D. Thursday, 2/21 100 Day of School Celebration led by the students of the 7th and 8th grades. All students should dress up like they were 100 years old. More information to follow.

E. Friday, 2/22 Mass at 9:00 led by the students of the 1st Grade. All parents are invited to attend.

F. Monday, 2/25- 12:00 Dismissal due to a faculty meeting. The ASP will be in session.

GRADES 5, 6, 7, 8  
A. All classwork/homework must be completed in blue or black ink (other colors will not be accepted and no pencil).  

B. Please make sure that you have loose-leaf and a pen every day. Paper cannot be ripped out of a notebook.

C. Remember homework counts as part of the total grade!

Tuesday,2/19:  This week you can work on your Black History Month Board which will also be used as a project grade for Social Studies. Please have index cards when you present so you can remember the information.

I have posted all of Chapter 4 notes in Google Classroom. Please make sure that you have copied all the notes into your Social Studies (NOTES) Notebook. You will be given information about the short response question for the test in class on Tuesday so you may prepare the response ahead of time. There will be a test on Wednesday, 2/27.

We will be reading from My Life with the Chimpanzees this week b Jane Goodall. This selection is a first-person narrative.

1. Define the following literary terms using your textbook (page R43-R47). This must be completed in your notebook with the date and the Aim: To define literary terms for the Week of…. You must write the complete definition. Due Friday, 2/22.

Literary Terms:
autobiography, biography, description, dialogue, expository writing

2. Common Lit- complete article. Due Monday, 2/25

3. Voyages Practice Book- page 111 Exclamation Points and Question Marks. Follow the directions for each section! Even numbers only. Complete in your notebook. Due Thursday, 2/21.

Black History Presentations will start today (Tues). For every day, the project is late, there will be 10 points deducted from the total grade! Check Google Classroom for the outline.
