GRADE 4-HOMEROOM

A. Gym uniforms must be worn by 4^th graders on Mondays and Tuesdays for gym unless students are told differently.

B. Wednesday, 2/26 Ash Wednesday Mass at 10:30 AM.

C. Friday, 2/29 African American Heritage Presentations at 9:00 AM.

D. Remember to re-register your child for the 2020-2021 school year.

HOMEWORK: For the Week of February 24,2020: Grades 6,7,8

Grade 6:

ELA/Reading Homework for Grade 6

The 6^th grade will be reading Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan. Please read chapters 1 and 2 by Monday, 3/3.

The 6^th grade is currently working on Unit 2- Animal Allies in My Perspectives. This week we will be reading “Hachiko: The True Story of a Loyal Dog” by Pamela S. Turner. Homework will be assigned in class during the week.

My Perspectives (Pearson)- Please review the story, vocabulary, and concepts (word study and conventions) that we are working on in class in your textbook or online in Pearson Realize.

Links to the computer programs that we are using can be found at the top of my blog:

**** Success Maker- please complete an hour of Language Arts each week. This includes what you complete in school.

Common Lit assignment is due on Friday, 2/29.

The 7^th grade is working on Unit 2- A Starry Home in My Perspectives. This week we will continue reading “Dark They Were, and Golden-Eyed” media radio play by Michael McDonough, Producer. Homework will be assigned in class during the week.
