Weekly Announcements:
GRADE 4-HOMEROOM

A. Gym uniforms must be worn by 4th graders on Mondays and Tuesdays for gym unless students are told differently.

B. Wednesday, 3/4 Anyone receiving Reconciliation will be having class with Ms. Coello from 3:15-4:00.

C. Thursday, 3/5 Anyone receiving First Holy Communion will be having class with Ms. Coello from 3:15-4:00.

D. Thursday, 3/5 Pi Day Celebration (more information to come).

E. Progress Reports were sent home on Thursday, 3/5. If you haven’t signed it, please do so and return it to me tomorrow.

F. Friday, 3/13 No school

G. Remember to re-register your child for the 2020-2021 school year.

HOMEWORK: For the Week of March 9,2020: Grades 6,7,8

Grade 6:
ELA/Reading Homework for Grade 6

The 6th grade will be reading Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan. Please read chapter 4 by Monday, 3/16.

The 6th grade is currently working on Unit 2- Animal Allies in My Perspectives.

The students will also be reviewing for the NYS ELA Exam. Homework will be assigned in class.

My Perspectives (Pearson)- Please review the story, vocabulary, and concepts (word study and conventions) that we are working on in class in your textbook or online in Pearson Realize.

Links to the computer programs that we are using can be found at the top of my blog.

**** Success Maker- please complete an hour of Language Arts each week. This includes what you complete in school.

****Common Lit assignment will be assigned during the week.

Wednesday,3/11: Read pages 172-183 in your textbook. Copy Chapter 5 notes into the SS Notes notebook- Due Monday, March 16.

March is Women’s History Month. An outline will be posted on Google Classroom for you to follow when doing your PowerPoint presentation. 
Due on March 30 (no extensions). This grade will be counted for both ELA and Social Studies. We will be choosing women to research this week.
