REMINDERS:
1. Please remember to cover all soft-covered books.
2. Remember to read the purple assignment book and check the HW folder each night to know your child's homework for each day.
3. Your child needs to remember to bring all of their school supplies every day.
4. No class on Weds. 9/23 due to a Teacher’s Conference
5. Please sign the permission slip that is in the Homework Folder. This is just a general permission slip in case we go on any walking trips in the neighborhood.
6. Remember to read the September calendar for dismissal times and important events.
TESTS:
1. There will be a Vocabulary Test every Friday on 15 words created by all three teachers. Each teacher will give 5 words a week, which will be written in the Vocabulary NB. The children should study these words each night. On Friday there will be a test.
VOCABULARY:
1. 5 words for the week (will be tested on Friday): chapel, capable, tidy, vanished, mansion. Check the Vocabulary NB for these words.
2. Reading Vocabulary Words from Officer Buckle and Gloria: department, audience, obeys, commands, expression, accident, noticed. Check the Reading NB for these words.
SPELLING:
No new Spelling Words this week.
Challenge Words: none
HOMEWORK:
Check the Purple Assignment Book every night for exact pages.
MONDAY: Complete Reading Practice Book p. 6,7
TUESDAY: Complete Phonics Book pgs. 26, 27
WEDNESDAY: Study Vocabulary Words for Test on Friday (see Vocabulary NB)
THURSDAY: Study 15 vocabulary words in the Vocabulary NB. There will be a test tomorrow. Language Arts- do pg. 82 #s 1-5( write in LA NB).
FRIDAY: Read for at least 30 minutes over the weekend. You can read any book or magazine that you like. JUST READ!
