REMINDERS:
1. Please remember to cover all soft-covered books. Some children still have none of their Reading or Language Arts books covered.
2. Remember to read the purple assignment book and check the HW folder each night to know your child's homework for each day.
3. Your child needs to remember to bring all of their school supplies every day.
4. I would appreciate if each child would bring a box of tissues if they have not already done so.
5. Please check the school blog every day for HW updates and information. It is impossible for the children to copy down everything so please make it a priority to check the blog. Please remember to click under Mrs. Larios, the week and 2nd Grade.
6. Remember that HW counts as a grade and many children are not completing it. Check your child’s Reading and Language Arts NB every day to see if I have written you a note.
TESTS:
1. Vocabulary Test Friday Oct.2 on the 15 words in the Vocabulary Notebook. These words will be chosen by all Ms. Saville, Mr. Badia, and I. You must check each teacher's blog to see the words that will be given each week.
2. Spelling Test- changed to Tuesday, 9/29. Study the words below and be able to make sentences with the words.
VOCABULARY WORDS: definitions will be in the Vocabulary NB- Test on Friday.

2. warn- to alert
3. banister- the railing of a staircase
4. patch- to mend or repair
5. seek- to look for
READING VOCABULARY WORDS FROM THE MIXED UP CHAMELEON: (definitions are in the Reading NB)
dull, exciting, handsome, hardly, sideways, sparkling, spotted
High Frequency Words: the students only need to know how to read these words. They do not need to know how to define them.
big, brown, eat, no people
SPELLING WORDS: Test on Tuesday, 9/29. The children will need to know how to spell and write the words in a sentence. See Reading Notebook.

HOMEWORK:
MONDAY: Complete pgs. 3 and 4 in the Reading Practice Book. Study for Spelling Test.
TUESDAY: Phonics Book pgs. 42,43
WEDNESDAY: Lang. Arts pg. 83 Do 1-6 in the Lang. Arts NB. Write each sentence out and add the correct end mark.
THURSDAY: Study for the vocabulary test .
FRIDAY: Read for at least 30 minutes during the weekend.
