WEEK OF MARCH 16- 20, 2009 4TH GRADE

REMINDERS: 1.Remember to bring all school supplies everyday, including the homework. 2.Please check your child’s purple assignment book every night for HW and notes. 3.The children will be reading the Grand Escape. The open book test for this book will be next Tues, 3/24. The children should read for at least thirty minutes each day in order to finish the book in time. They should also take notes on important facts. The notes will be started in the back of the reading notebook so they will not be lost or forgotten. 4.Essay on "A Person I Admire"due on Tuesday, 3/17 (looseleaf). This should be three paragraphs. LESSON: 1. The students will respond to a Listening Comprehension Activity. 2. We will work on vocabulary building using a vocabulary word web 3. Lastly, we will identify statements of fact and opinion. We will make a Venn Diagram to describe similarities and differences of Lumbering in the Past and Lumbering Today.
